Visitor & Patient Guide

Welcome to St. Joseph's Medical Center. We have listed below many of the items we thought would be useful and informative.

Parking:

Courtesy valet parking is available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm at the main entrance of St. Joseph's Medical Center. There is no charge for this service. Free parking for patients and visitors is available across the street, in front of the hospital.

Visiting Hours:

We consider family and patients partners in our care.  When patients are ill, visiting is a complex issue.  We want patients to have people present who are important to them as they face the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of their illness or surgery.  We have visiting hours established to allow patients to rest.  However, we realize each patient is unique and will work with them to allow a visiting schedule that is meaningful for them.

Waiting Areas:

There are specially designated lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor and on the main floor in the lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the Intensive Care Units, the Emergency Department, and Surgery.  There are computers and phones in these waiting areas, and wireless internet is available.  We want you to be comfortable.  Feel free to ask questions.

For the Hearing or Sensory Impaired:

St. Joseph's Medical Center provides qualified interpreters for patients who do not speak English or are sensory impaired. A TTY telephone is available for deaf or hard of hearing patients, families, or visitors.
