Brainerd Has Heart

The Brainerd Lakes Heart & Vascular Center is a brand new, comprehensive cardiac care center located at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

The Center will open its doors in February 2010—Heart Month—adding world class heart care to the growing roster of specialty services offered by Brainerd Lakes Health.

To ensure a gold standard of care, Brainerd Lakes Health has partnered with two Top-100 Heart Hospitals—St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic Heart Center and Central Minnesota Heart Center-CentraCare.

The new Heart Center was founded to help improve and save lives by giving the residents of north central Minnesota access to top-quality heart care close to home.

The development of the Heart Center was an investment made by the community, for the community. Funding for the $12 million project was obtained from several sources, including generous private donations from community members as part of the Center’s “Heart of the Community” campaign.
