Grief Support Group

If you are grieving the death of a loved one, you may find support by joining this group.  The group is facilitated by professionals.  Through individual reflection, grief-related tasks, and group sharing, members will:

Decrease emotional pain (sadness, helplessness); Recognize, express and accept one's feelings; Understand the grief process; Identify normal manifestations of grief and learn healthy coping behavior; Develop a realistic memory of the deceases, remembering the life shared; Create a support system; and Reinvest oneself in life.

Coping with Grief is a series of meetings.  Registration is taken at the first meeting.  Participants should plan to attend all sessions in the series.  Meetings are held at St. Joseph's Medical Center.  For more information, call (218) 828-7659.
